    In a ceremony held in Islamabad, U.S. Ambassador Anne W. Patterson announced that the U.S. Government will support a $55 million (4.5 billion rupees) infrastructure rehabilitation and construction program in South Waziristan.

    The United States government donated 20 ambulances and 33 four-wheel drive trucks to Pakistan's Frontier Corps in Peshawar Province. Mr. James Flowers from the U.S. Consulate Peshawar officially delivered the vehicles to Frontier Corps officials during a hand-over ceremony in Hayatabad.
