Peshawar - Under the U.S. Consulate Peshawar funded small grants "Sports for Peace" program, Swat Youth Front distributed sports kits among ten teams of Cricket, five teams of Volleyball and five teams of Football among the various sports clubs of Swat.
Sports can be used as an effective tool and a strong unifying factor in the process of conflict transformation and peace building thus the U.S. government through Swat Youth Front initiated in creating a platform for post-conflict, peace-building efforts by facilitating and equipping youth sport teams with sports goods and establishing a network for them.
