Peshawar, September 12, 2009 - U.S. Consulate Peshawar Principal Officer E. Candace Putnam with a group of Pashto singers, poets, screen writers and play writers.

Peshawar - U.S. Consulate Principal Officer E. Candace Putnam arranged an Iftar in honor of Pashto cultural representatives. The event was attended by the Pashtun cultural superlatives, living legend singers of traditional music, young pop stars, poets, screen writers and play writers.
On the occasion, the cultural representatives discussed ways and means for the promotion of Pashto art and literature.
