Peshawar - The Principal Officer, U.S. Consulate Peshawar, E. Candace Putnam, paid a visit to the Peshawar Press Club and held an off-the-record roundtable with 16 renowned local journalists from print and electronic media. During her introductory remarks Ms. Putnam condemned October 15th terrorist's acts in Kohat and Lahore. She offered her sincere condolences to the injured and families of the deceased and praised the performance of the Pakistani military and police force. Ms. Putnam answered questions on a wide-range of issues from the local journalists who graciously thanked her for providing an opportunity to them to discuss their concerns. They noted that such discussions and debates offer mutual understanding between the parties and should occur more frequently.
