Peshawar police are expecting the following protests on August 11, 2006:

A small sized procession consisting of 70-80 individuals in the area of Jama Masjid Kocha Risaldar near Kabulai Police station in Kissa Khwani Bazaar by the Shia community to protest the killing of 60 Shias in Iraq by a suicide bomber on August 10, 2006. The protest is expected to occur at 2 p.m.
The JUI-F political party has planned a series of protest demonstrations throughout the province on August 11, 2006. The protests planned for Peshawar will start at 3:30 p.m. at Namak Mandi and move to Shaheedano Chowk in Kissa Khwani Bazaar (in the Old City). Organizers expect 000-1500 people, and the procession is likely to be addressed by Amanullah Haqani, Maulana Abdul Jaleel and Information Minister Asif Daudzai.
