Due to technical error, some people may not have received recent Warden Messages. Therefore, we are re-sending the Notice below. All Warden Messages are posted on our website at: http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/pakistan/citizen_services.html. Americans are encouraged to read the messages posted in the last two weeks and to familiarize themselves with the latest guidance.

This Warden Notice is to notify American citizens that the Consular Section will re-open to the public on Monday, September 29. Note that the Embassy will be closed to the public for the Eid Holiday from October 1 through October 3. Here is additional information regarding the re-scheduling of consular service appointments that were scheduled for September 25 and 26:
American Citizen Services Unit: Americans should contact the Embassy switchboard at (92-51) 208-0000 during business hours to re-schedule appointments.
Immigrant Visa Unit: The Embassy will contact immigrant visa applicants to advise them of their new appointment dates.
Non-Immigrant Visa Unit: Applicants for non-immigrant visas should contact their local American Express Office and reschedule their appointment.
The Embassy reiterates its advice to all Americans to take appropriate individual precautions to ensure their safety and security at all times. These measures include maintaining good situational awareness, avoiding crowds and demonstrations and keeping a low profile. Americans should avoid setting patterns by varying times and routes for all required travel. Americans should ensure that their travel documents and visas are valid at all times.
American citizens are encouraged to register with the nearest Embassy or Consulate.
